JAMES W. DALYJames “Jim” Daly has broad experience in defense litigation at both the trial and appellate levels. He has represented a wide range of clients, including general contractors, specialty contractors, design professionals, developers, property management companies, restaurants, taverns, convenience stores, supermarkets, security agencies, manufacturers, distributors, importers, and amusement pier operators.
Jim has litigated toxic tort actions involving the occupational exposure to toluene, xylene, petroleum distillates, and asbestos. He has defended many food product liability cases alleging contamination or foreign objects in food products. Jim has handled construction cases involving defective design, materials, and workmanship theories. He has also defended municipalities, and their governing bodies, police, and fire departments, in a variety of cases ranging from defective traffic lights to Section 1983 civil rights actions. Jim has also represented clients involved in Superfund litigation at various landfills and clients subject to various statutes controlling the remediation of soil and ground water contamination.
A frequent lecturer, Jim has conducted presentations and workshops on the issues of contractual indemnification under Pennsylvania and New Jersey law. Education- University of Notre Dame (B.A. 1978)
