CHRISTOPHER G. MAVROS

Christopher Mavros is an associate with Deasey, Mahoney, Valentini & North, Ltd., handling a variety of defense litigation matters. Chris specializes in crane and construction litigation as part of the National Coordinating Counsel team for a leading national insurance company’s Crane and Heavy Machinery Program. In this capacity, he has litigated cases in numerous states, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Virginia, Rhode Island, Maryland, South Carolina, and Georgia. In fact, Chris was certified in mobile crane operation and safety by the Crane Institute of America in 2007. He is often asked to present seminars regarding crane operation and safety.

Chris also handles a broad range of commercial vehicle litigation, including complex cases involving more than 80 claimants and catastrophic injuries. Recent defense verdicts include cases regarding water main reconstruction, commercial vehicles, crane operation, and boating accident cases.

Prior to joining the firm, Chris served as in-house counsel for Progressive Casualty and Insurance Company, where he handled arbitrations and trials involving different areas of insurance law, including personal injury protection, insurance coverage, and third-party actions.

Chris served as law clerk to the Honorable Paul T. Koenig, Jr., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, following his graduation from Villanova University School of Law. He is a former White House intern in the Office of the Legal Counsel to the President, where he assisted in the Clinton impeachment defense before the House Regulatory Committee.

Chris is an active volunteer with the Sierra Club and Red Cross, among other community organizations. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, distance running, and competitive barbequing.
