OBINNA I. ABARAObinna Abara is an associate with Deasey, Mahoney, Valentini & North, Ltd. He focuses his practice primarily on civil rights and employment litigation at the administrative level and before the state and federal courts.
During law school, Obinna distinguished himself in the Moot Court arena, having participated in competitions at the national level. He also acted as an assistant facilitator for the 55th District Court Pilot Mediation Program, in Ingham County, Michigan.
Obinna enjoys giving back to the community by participation in various volunteer and service projects sponsored by his fraternal organization, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He is also a member of the Owerri Obinnwanne Association, and the World Owerri People’s Congress – both of which share missions to aid, support, and advance the people and infrastructure of the greater Owerri, Nigeria, area. He also works with the College Access Program and Philadelphia Cares, and he is a board member of the K.A.P.P.A. House, an organization benefitting minority youth, communities, and businesses.
