JANE A. NORTH

A shareholder of Deasey, Mahoney, Valentini & North, Ltd., Jane North has extensive experience in the defense of complex litigation cases involving products liability, construction (representing general contractors and subcontractors), personal injury, premises liability, and commercial auto litigation. Her product defense experience involves large machinery, conveyor systems, presses, and mills.

Jane currently defends a leading children’s product manufacturer throughout the eastern half of Pennsylvania. She also participated in the defense of the notorious One Meridian Plaza Fire litigation and the Philadelphia Baby Bottle litigation.

Having handled jury trials and bench trials in both state and federal courts, Jane also has considerable experience with both federal and state appellate work in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Jane defends products liability cases for both insurance carriers and corporations. She represents primary and excess carriers in bad faith litigation in several states.

A frequent lecturer, Jane has presented programs on products liability and bad faith litigation under Pennsylvania and New Jersey law. She has participated in a teleconference on illegal immigrant issues and published “Illegal Immigrants: Lost Wages / Loss of Future Earnings Claims” in For The Defense magazine.

She is the proud mother of four children. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and swimming.
