Jane North Elevated to Named Partner of Deasey, Mahoney, Valentini & North, Ltd.

Deasey, Mahoney & Valentini is pleased to announce that effective July 6, 2009, Jane A. North has become a named partner with the firm, and the firm's name has changed to Deasey, Mahoney, Valentini & North, Ltd. In addition, the firm has launched a new website at www.dmvnlaw.com.

Jane joined our firm in June 1994, after practicing law for several years with another defense firm in Philadelphia. Jane became the first woman partner of the firm in October 2000 and served as managing partner from 2005 through 2007. Her practice consists primarily of products liability and construction personal injury cases in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Jane currently defends a leading children's product manufacturer throughout the eastern half of Pennsylvania. Jane has extensive experience handling complex multi-party products litigation involving manlifts and pedestal mounted booms, large manufacturing equipment and other class actions involving products.  She is very active in the Defense Research Institute (DRI) and serves as the Publications Chair for the Children's Products Subcommittee.  Jane has also successfully tried construction claims involving catastrophic injuries to workers and has had multiple general contractors and subcontractors dismissed from lawsuits.  Jane is the proud mother of three sons and one daughter.
